The 8^th HMC Grantee Meeting

· Keynote Speakers = - The HMCRC has heard your requests! The focus of the October meeting= is on sustainability and replication of behavior change interventions.&nbs= p; Our keynote speakers will be Dr. Mary Ann Scheirer, an Independ= ent Consultant in program evaluation and performance measurement, and Dr. Nancy Whitelaw, D= irector, Center for Healthy Aging and Senior Vice-President, National Counc= il on Aging. In preparation for the October m= eeting, you may wish to review Dr. Scheirer’s publication regarding su= stainability as published in the American Journal of Evaluation.

·= Attention Supplement C= hairs!= Please remember to schedule a conference call for your Supplement at= least one month prior to coming to the meeting. This will enable eac= h Supplement to most effectively use the Supplement Session time at the mee= ting.

·= HMC Reporting= - September 21 is an important date.

Meeting Attendance Survey

Look for an e= mail regarding the online Meeting Attendance Survey by August 31. In = addition to meeting attendance, this survey will also gather information re= garding meals. The surveys are to be completed no later than <= span lang=3Den-US style=3D'font-size:11.0pt;font-family:Arial;text-decoration:= underline; language:en-US'>September 21 so that the HMCRC will have adequate pl= anning time.

Individual Site Progress Reports<= /p>

The online Pr= ogress Report Surveys will be available by August 31. In order to be = included in the report we present to the NIH at the meeting, reports must b= e submitted (along with an updated consort diagram, new publications, and n= ew study measures) by September 21. The NIH program officers report= that they find this material very useful - so please be sure to send your = material for inclusion.

Supplement and Workgroup Progress Report= s

Requests will= go out by August 31. In order to be included in the report we presen= t to the NIH at the meeting, you must submit your report no later than September 21.
